A new bed!
After months of sleeping on this crappy spring mattress,
we finally bought a new mattress from bodyzoneusa.com. After a week it arrived in this 54 pound box:
The bed was vacuum packed in heavy plastic- and Kendra said it looked like something from Fear Factor. I guess all the wrinkles in the cloth reminded her of worms.
There were instructions for opening it, and it came with a special razor to prevent us from slicing the foam or the cloth cover.
It took about half an hour to really expand into a mattress shape, and it still smells like a can of paint.
What I really wanted to see was if the “memory foam” would really do that trick where it holds the shape of your hand. I tried it-
and it works!
It was kind of hard to get that picture because it springs back to a flat surface in about 5 seconds.
After sleeping on it for a few nights, we both agree that it’s a LOT better than our old mattress, and well worth the $287. We don’t roll into the center of the bed anymore, and I notice a lot less back and joint pain. I thought we would sleep until 3 or 4 today, but we were both awake by 9:30 and just didn’t feel like sleeping anymore. This bed is seriously good.
