I was walking home tonight, and I stopped in at the little cafe next door to me to check my email. There were a few black Navigators and some dudes standing around with black suits and earpieces. Guess who was eating in the cafe here! The governator!
It was kind of cool to see a celebrity up close like that. He’s got very good hair. I thought he would be bigger, but he was still taller than I am. That was neat.

Another speaker thing…

This was made by a guy in England- and I’m thinking of doing something similar. In theory, they ought to sound pretty good. As he says it, they do. I’d like to come up with a way to make them look a lot nicer- but the general idea is a box like that, with a board vertically with a couple of speakers on it.

I will never forget marching band.
Drumline is where I was, and damn it was fun. We worked hard, and it paid off- and that’s a great feeling. The thing that I will never forget is the time our band was in a competition, and the judges recorded their comments on a tape.
We got to listen to the tape of the judge in the band room the next day, and he was VERY excited. It was great to hear ourselves on tape- we were really good, it sounded awesome.
That year we were playing a version of Malaguena, do you know it? It’s a big dramatic thing, and there’s a point where there’s a fermata (i guess, it might have just been a rest) and then we went into half-time. We started playing half as fast- it was a big slow down. Anyway, we got to that part of the tape and the judge screamed
RETARDONDO!!
The drummers in that band room were dumbfounded. We looked around and said, “Did he just call us retarded??”
Good times.

Yes, this is what I’ve been dealing with. They claim to have some of the best NY style pizza in san francisco- but you know, it’s just not the same. You know why it’s not san francisco style pizza? It’s because chicago and new york have the best pizza in the world. That’s why it’s called “chicago style” or “new york style”. The serving size on that page is 115 grams. What the hell is a gram?!?!
Wow, I feel like a real lardass for typing on a computer about how I can’t find good pizza.

You know I’m always thinking about building some speakers- well.. check these out (you can click on the photo).
They cost $1500.
That’s right- they’re over a thousand dollars! But- if you go to Madisound, you can buy the drivers for $63.25 each. That’s a total cost of around $135 with shipping. If you get some really nice wood, that’s another $100, and there might be another $50 worth of accessories that go into it.
The total cost of these $1500 speakers is really less than $300. I have known this for ages, yet I still think- how can I do better? Is there some way to do it cheaper, and maybe get better sound?
Really… I need an apartment before I can really play with this stuff again.

I’ve been considering adding a section on here (maybe a box to one side of the blog) where anybody can post whatever they want. Pictures, words, links, etc. What would people think of that? Would you like a more interactive part in my blog?
